Essex teaching awards 2017
A huge congratualtions to Mrs. Orchard for receiving her Lifetime Achievement Award at the Essex Teaching Awards 2017 which took place on Thursday 2nd February 2017
Mrs. Orchard has received this award in recognition of her hard work, commitment and dedication to Moulsham Junior School. At the award ceremony she was described as:
' A Pastoral Support Leader who has made a career working with children to help them overcome any difficulty they may be experiencing which is impacting on their ability to learn, succeed and achieve. She is described as the School's "Go To Person" in any situation where support, calmness, common sense, empathy and any other positive qualities that you can think of are required. Her room at the school is described as "a self-made cavern of delight" providing refuge, and being covered in thank you cards from all those children and families she has been able to help and support both practically and emotionally. Her relationship with external agencies are exemplary; working to encourage the adoption of a positive goal-oriented approach by all involved professionals. She has a whole school impact; supporting other staff, school events, school training and whole school priorities. Staff both within and beyond the school have a deep-rooted respect for her because they can see her commitment and the practical results she has in engaging children where all others have failed. She is described as the school's pupils "BEST PERSON IN SCHOOL" '
