IMPORTANT NOTICE (October 2019)
REDUCTION IN PUPIL ADMISSION NUMBER - 2021/22
The consultation period finished Monday 25th November 2019.
Moulsham Junior School, as its own admission authority, has recently consulted on a reduction to the published admission number (PAN) for the academic year 2021/22. The proposed reduction in numbers is in direct response to the reduction in numbers at our feeder school Moulsham Infants School.
MIS have already reduced their admission number from 120 back to 90 places as a consequence of the overall reduction in demand for school places within the Moulsham area.
However, even after the proposed reduction, MJS will still be able to offer a place to every Year 2 child at both our feeder schools MIS and Oaklands Infants.
Applications for places
All applications for admissions to Moulsham Junior School are dealt with through the Planning and Admissions team at Essex County Council (0345 603 2200).
Currently, for academic year 2019/20, we are a 6-form intake school (180 places).
Please see the criteria for applications in the 2019/20 Admissions Policy, below.
Should you wish to appeal against the decision to refuse your child a place at the school, you can again contact Essex Admissions and further guidance can be found at https://www.essex.gov.uk/after-your-school-offer/appeals
Thank you for inviting us- always a great event. https://t.co/DH6wuRTjRL@Moulshamjunior
Year 6 had an incredible, unexpected day...The children had to create a special edition of the Daily Prophet. These are finalists from each class and a picture of our winning team from 6Kemp. https://t.co/88JQLiRRoZ@Moulshamjunior
@watsoncomedian We always discuss with parents- have also had twins together and then in separate classes further on as children develop. But always a joint decision.@Moulshamjunior
