DT - Hydraulic Systems
In DT, Year 5 pupils have been learning about hydraulic systems and how they work. From exploring the power that compressed water in syringes can produce to researching what hydraulic systems are used for, this has been a very interesting topic which pupils have thoroughly enjoyed. Pupils in 5 Kemp designed and made their own hydraulic systems (some of which were more successful than others) and a few can be seen in the video clip's below. Pupils learnt a great deal during the making process and had lots of ideas about how they would modify and improve their design next time. Never has the statement, 'the simpler the better' been more true!
