WELCOME TO MOULSHAM JUNIOR SCHOOL
Welcome to Moulsham Junior School – a thriving, inclusive school at the heart of our community and part of The Hive Family of Schools multi-academy trust.
With over 650 pupils, we are one of the largest junior schools in the area, yet what makes Moulsham special is that it never feels that way. We are proud of the strong sense of belonging that runs throughout our school. Our children, staff and families know one another, support one another and work together to create a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels valued.
At the centre of everything we do are our four core values: Striving, Supporting, Sharing and Succeeding. These values shape our culture, guide our decisions and help our pupils grow into confident, compassionate and ambitious young people. We have high aspirations for every child. Academically, we aim to provide an engaging and ambitious curriculum that inspires curiosity, develops knowledge and enables children to achieve their full potential. Equally important is our commitment to helping pupils develop socially and emotionally, building the confidence, resilience and character they need to navigate an ever-changing world.
Our vision is that every child leaves Moulsham as a successful learner, a caring and responsible citizen and a confident individual who is well prepared for the next stage of their education and for the opportunities that lie beyond. We want our children to believe in themselves, embrace new experiences and look to the future with optimism and ambition.
Whether you are a current member of our school community or are considering joining us, we hope this website gives you a glimpse of the values, opportunities and sense of togetherness that make Moulsham such a special place to learn and grow.
Mrs G Moores (Headteacher)

Hi there,
My name is Henry, and I am one of the Head Students for 2025-2026 at Moulsham Junior School.
I am absolutely delighted to get this role and help my school. MJS is the best school for everyone.
We have a library, a field, an astro, year 3&4 quad, year 5&6 quad and so much more. We have lovely staff who are always there if you need a hand.
This role means alot to me, I have always wanted to help people and now I have a chance to do this.
This school is really fantastic.
Many Thanks
Henry
Hello,
My name is Bianca,
As Head Student I understand that at MJS we take education really seriously. This is the number one school for achievement because we stick to our rules. Our rules are the right to learn, the right to respect and the right to remain safe.
I care deeply about my peers and believe we all deserve the education we need. In the end I think that if you want to achieve then you need to work hard, here I know we will be given that chance.
Many Thanks
Bianca
