Science
It is our INTENT at Moulsham Junior School to inspire inquisitive minds and a thirst for knowledge and understanding of the world around us. Our science curriculum will develop their curiosity, elicit a sense of excitement about natural phenomena, encourage respect for living organisms and the physical environment and provide opportunities for critical evaluation of evidence. Scientific Enquiry skills and investigative skills are embedded in each topic and revisited and developed through the school. We aim to IMPLEMENT this through a curriculum which carefully plans for progression and depth, provides opportunities for rich learning experiences that help our children acquire a growing understanding of scientific ideas and prepare them for life in an increasingly scientific and technological world. The IMPACT of a well thought out and planned science curriculum will demonstrate progression, the acquisition of knowledge and skills which will equip them to progress from their starting points and within their everyday lives.
